Sirocco Strategic Management was started in 1996 in a time of great change and flux  flowing through South Africa. It was established to work with organisations to guide them in their strategising and, more importantly, to ensure effective the implementation of the strategies. Implementation depends 100% on the people in the organisation buying into and committing to make the strategy work. This is a key area in which Sirocco has developed expertise, both locally and in Holland and the USA.

Sirocco has two key areas of focus:

Tony Frost

Tony Frost is a fifth generation South African, educated at Queen’s College, Queenstown and at the Universities of Natal, Cape Town, South Africa and Wits. He is a keen sportsman, photographer, a private pilot and is passionate about the natural heritage of our planet and particularly South Africa.

After spending about five years in a board level marketing position, and then 20 years as Human Resources Director, he founded Sirocco Strategic Management in 1996.

Tony is a regular presenter at local and international conferences, on the subject of strategies in business and, in particular, the importance of people in making the strategy work.   He has published After the Rain, a book on the subject of organisations and management.  He also writes a regular column on environmental issues for a regional newspaper, and regularly talks on these topics on radio.

He was CEO of the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) in South Africa from 2002 to 2007 and was on the WWF Global Operations Executive (The Charter Group), the WWF Global Conservation Programme Committee, the Percy Fitzpatrick Advisory Board and others.

The Governance Network aims to increase any entity’s capability to deal with all governance and related issues, from both a performance and aconformance (regulatory and standards compliance) perspective. It also stands as a governance assurance to stakeholders, funders and shareholders or entities reliant on others to manage their resources, funds or investments. It’s ultimate purpose is to increase confidence in South Africa’s public sector as a whole, and the country as a sound investment destination.
