Much has been, and still is being, written about the advent of Wal-Mart in South Africa.

Much of the talk and stories about Wal-Mart are based on fear and not necessarily reality. Perhaps some of the retail organisations that have been asking too much from us for so long should be somewhat afraid. For the rest, the competition will be good.

How can we stop junkmail overwhelming us?

How often do we clear our mail box only to find it so flooded by junkmail that there is barely space left in the box for the legitimate mail?
I have been thinking about issue a lot lately. With e-mail junkmail you can at least delete, install spam filters, put a block on certain addresses and so on. But what does one do with the unwanted piles of printed material that is stuffed into the mailbox?
